Baseball Themed Engagement Party

My brother-in-law hit a home run … he asked an amazing girl to marry him, and she said YES!

The family knew that we needed to celebrate the youngest of 5’s latest event.  The bride and groom to be are both avid baseball fans, in particular, they root for the Texas Rangers. Right away, I knew the theme had to be “baseball”!

A wooden bat with a sharpie was set out for all the guests to sign and/or write a special message …”Sign our Guest Bat, please”. They are excited to put it up in their new house as a display piece.

Tables were decorated with red and blue table cloths. The centerpieces varied, each marking the theme. Peanuts, popcorn, cracker jacks, cotton candy and baseball shaped gumballs were available for snacking any time throughout the evening.

As all good parties do, it was centered around the food.  The menu consisted of a make your own Nacho Bar (love that you can by 72 ounces of nacho cheese and chili !)

A top your own Hot Dog Bar included “menus” with the ingredients for different hot dogs found at various Major League Ballparks. One guest proudly admitted that he tried all 4 of the special hot dogs!

The “icing on the cake” was actually the ice cream sundaes! Kids and Adults alike enjoyed topping their own sundae in their take home Texas Rangers baseball helmet!

The girls happily “sold” bags of cracker jacks and cotton candy to all the guests.

  • Mini Bags of Cotton Candy and Cracker Jacks  and the Nacho trays were found at Sam’s Club
  • Paper Popcorn bags found at the Dollar Tree
  • Other Baseball themed accessories were found at Hobby Lobby and Party City

  1. Great photos and party design Liz! I love the mini baseball helmets to eat ice cream out of (although I could eat enough ice cream to fit inside a full sized helmet lol).
