My birthday is December 24th (yes, I know that's Christmas Eve, but it is also December 24th. I get to choose when to refer to it without the actual date!), and people constantly ask me if I get jipped. It's not too offensive, but it does get annoying. No one asks my husband if he gets shafted out of Valentine's Day gifts because his birthday is February 15th! But I make it clear that it was my parents that made the day one of the most awesome days of the year. I would always get like 1 present but it would be a doozy! No bikes or power cars or anything but something really great.
