Heart Shaped Dinner Rolls

Heart Shaped Dinner Rolls

If you have a favorite dough recipe, you can shape the dough into heart shaped rolls before baking them. If making your own dough is not your thing, check out this recipe that uses store-bought dough which makes this a super easy Valentine’s Day recipe!

To shape the rolls:

Roll each roll into a 4-inch drumstick shape (skinny on one end and fat on the other). Cut into the fat end about 1 1/2-inches. Place on a sprayed baking sheet pulling the cut pieces apart and laying them cut side down on the baking sheet to form the top of the heart. Slightly flatten heart shape.

Heart Shaped Rice Krispies Treats

Rice Krispie treats are a popular favorite, especially for kids. You can create different shapes by using a cookie cutter.

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
one 10 oz package ( about 40) regular marshmallows
OR  4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Kellog’s Rice Krispies cereal
Assorted sprinkles or candies (optional)

Make them:
1. In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9x 2-inch pan lined with foil and coated with cooking spray. Cool.

4. Remove from pan. Remove foil. Cut out desired shape then decorate as desired and let sit for a few minutes.

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

Chocolate Dipped Heart Shaped Pretzels

Here’s a super easy Valentine’s Day recipe I found at makeandtakes.com.

All it takes is some mini pretzel twists and some melted chocolate or candy melts.

Once the chocolate and/or candy melts are fully melted, dip your pretzel with a wooden skewer then lay on wax paper to dry.

How easy is that? You can add sprinkles too.
