Family Fun at Truck Time 2012

Truck Time 2012

Do you want to look at a fire truck up close?  Want a chance to battle your friends in the Video Game Truck?

Kids of all ages will love to explore, touch, and see all the great trucks we have lined up for Truck Time 2012 on Sunday, October 21, 2012.

Bring your family, neighbors, and friends to enjoy the day of trucks, bounce houses and vendors plus kosher food available for purchase from the K-Wheels Kosher Food.  All proceeds support the activities of the CSI Family Center. Last year, over 2,000 people attended.

Truck Time 2012 is an opportunity to show our kids how to participate in Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world, by helping us “Go Green.” All recyclable items from the event will be collected in bins and put in the recycling truck right here in our own parking lot!  Be sure and bring old clothing to be recycled by United Southern Waste Material Company.

We are excited to announce our collaboration with the Jewish Family Services (JFS) Special Needs Partnership to ensure inclusion for everyone in the Greater Dallas Metroplex. Families are invited to attend a light breakfast at 9:00 am and a truck preview at 9:30 am.  A quiet room will be available throughout the event.   To take part in the morning festivities or for more information please contact Teri Kachur, JFS Community Organizer, Special Needs Partnership at TKachur@JFSDallas.org or 972.437.9950

Event co-chairs Ellen and Ari Bond, Gretchen and Avi Edwards, Stephanie and Barry Grossman, and Blair and Matan Wolfson are working hard to make this event a success. For volunteer or sponsorship opportunities, please contact Suzanne Minc at SMinc@shearith.org. For more information, visit our website at www.shearith.org
