One of my favorite memories of Maggie’s birthday is of the cake my mom made for her first birthday. It was this beautiful bear cake, covered in coconut that my mom browned and the bear looked all furry, adorable. But when my mom put it down on the table she almost started crying. The bear was lying on it’s back holding balloons and she said it looked like “it had been laid to rest!” Which the rest of us thought was hysterical and of course the kids didn’t care. It tasted great!
I LOVE birthdays, planning them and celebrating them! I am planning a cowgirl/cowboy party for Mia, her 5th birthday next month. So much fun picking out the goodies, it is all about having a fun theme!
Liz … I need to come to Mia’s party to get ideas from you. I’m thinking about a western theme for Sam’s Bar Mitzvah, although he’s thinking sports. We’ll see what we end up with. Can’t wait for YOU to start planning it for me!
Parties are always fun! I love the excitement in my child’s face as their friends arrive and as they play together enjoying each other’s company on this special day.
Brandt H. age 7, birthday 9/20; Best birthday moment was definitely the pinata! Seeing those kids beating buzz lightyear to death was hysterical! And I’ve never seen so many kids clean up something so fast when the treats came flying out! Precious moments!
I’m planning a princess tea party for my dtr who’s turning 3, she loves the disney princesses…

My step-son’s birthday is the day after Christmas – we always celebrate by making chocolate fondue with all his favorite dippers – like apples, marshmellows and bananas. By the end everyone has choloate on their face. He loves it!
Mindy, my kids love fondue, what a fun idea for a birthday party!!
We love McDonalds!

My favorite bday memory is my sons 8th bday at Sharkarosa wildlife ranch. They look of wonder and joy on the faces of all the kids and adults as they got to pet lemurs, baby camels & kangaroos was just unforgettable.
Chelsea birhtday is 12/29/199 and its always hard to have a party is December during winter break. So last year she had a slumber party and we had hot cocoa and smores !!! awsome kiddo .. she still loves going to MCdonadls
Alison would have to win THIS WEEK because her birthday was Tuesday – she decided on her own to have a “pink elephant” party – very creative for a 3 year old girl awash in princesses and dora. My memory will be that this was an early example of her independence and unique personality
Happy Birthday, Alison! Kimberly – please email me your mailing address and I will be happy to send Alison a FREE happy meal!
