Sundance Square - Free summer movie series

Sundance Square’s FREE Summer Movie Series “Stars Under the Stars” returns June 2013

The 2013 “Stars Under the Stars” outdoor movie series in Sundance Square will return this summer beginning June 6th.  Sundance Square will kick off this series with the showing of BRAVE, the 2012 computer animated fantasy comedy. Additional movies include Big Miracle (June 13), Despicable Me (June 20) and We Bought A Zoo (June 27).

Showtime is at dusk (around 9:00 p.m.) on the Gateway Parking Lot (bordered by 4th Street, Houston Street, 5th Street and Throckmorton Street) in downtown Fort Worth. Admission is free. Moviegoers can arrive as early as 8 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for seating on the lot. Folding chairs will also be available for a $2 rental fee.
Guests can purchase “to-go” food items from Sundance Square restaurants, but no ‘outside’ food, drinks or coolers are allowed. Oliver’s Fine Foods will stay open late for food and drink purchases, including beer and wine. Schakolad Chocolate Factory will be onsite with chocolate goodies and popcorn for purchase.
Guests are asked to leave all pets in the comfort and safety of their home due to the large crowds, heat, and abrupt and loud movie noises. Parking is always free weekdays after 5 p.m. in Sundance Square parking lots and garages.
Sundance Square is a vibrant 35-block commercial, residential, entertainment and retail district where people work, live, shop and dine among beautiful landscaping, red-brick streets and turn-of-the-century buildings. More information about Sundance Square can be found at www.sundancesquare.com.
