Kids in the Kitchen: Easy Holiday Fudge
The winter break is such a great time to reconnect with your kids on a one to one basis. Mia loves to help in the kitchen and making this easy 3 ingredient fudge recipe was a perfect way to have some fun together.
Fudge is the quintessential holiday treat, and those that make fudge regularly like the rest of us to think that it is a difficult treat to make. I am here to tell you that is not the case.
This 3 ingredient fudge recipe is so simple, so easy and so yummy! The key is to use GOOD chocolate chips, don’t skimp! For this batch I used Ghiradelli semi-sweet milk chocolate chips.
1 bag chocolate chips, 1 (14 oz can) condensed milk, 1 tsp vanilla
Pour the 2 cups of chocolate chips into a microwave safe the bowl
Gently fold chips and milk together with a spatula
Put bowl in the microwave at 50% high power level for 1 minute. Take out and stir, the chips will continue to melt and blend with milk. Depending on your microwave you may need to heat it again for another 30-45 seconds.
After it is all blended together, add the vanilla and stir
Use your spatula to pour into a 8×8 square container lined with waxed paper (for very easy removal)
Let the fudge cool in the refrigerator for a few hours. Remove and cut into “bite size” pieces. We put the pieces on a plate and covered with press and seal wrap. Ready to go for daddy to take to his holiday work potluck party the next day.
Little brother came in just in time to help his sister lick the bowl !
I love this recipe. It looks easy to make. I especially enjoyed your cute models. Thanks for the recipe.
