The 5th Annual Nick Gonzales Charity Golf Tournament and Fundraising Dinner will be held on Friday, April 27th at Prestonwood Country Club in Dallas. Tee off is 1:00 PM, 4-man scramble. Golf with dinner registration is $135. Dinner only registrations for those who want to support our mission, but who don’t play golf, is $50. Appetizers begin at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:45. All net proceeds from registration fees, sponsorships, raffle and silent/live auction will go toward the funding of an annual research grant established through the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS). NBTS is very focused on pediatric, as well as adult brain tumor research. Click here for Event Flyer.

- Duke University – Dr. Hai Yam – $25,000
- Baylor Hospital/Foundation – Dr. Karen Fink – $20,000

Over 200,000 people are diagnosed with a malignant primary brain tumor worldwide every year. That’s over 500 people a day on average. Brain tumors are now the largest cause of childhood cancer mortality in the age group 0-14, surpassing those diagnosed with Leukemia. This is not necessarily because of an increase in childhood brain tumors, but because of more effective treatments for Leukemia and the lack of significant improvements in the treatment of brain tumors.
