Special Needs Symposium & Resource Fair: Know what is Available in Dallas Ft Worth

One Day event that provides access to information and resources to improve the lives of individuals with special needs

Any parent of a child with special needs understands that “it takes a village to raise a child.”  Caring for a special needs child can be overwhelming and costly, but it doesn’t have to be.

As a full-time working mother of two small children, one of them with special needs, and the wife of a busy entrepreneur, Misty Roberts founded Pathways to Sensory Awareness with the vision of offering parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals of children with special needs the convenience to explore the many options and resources available at a one day event each year. With today’s busy lifestyle and economic restraints, time and money is often limited, so Misty’s goal is to bring you everything from the simplest do-it-yourself solutions to the most elaborate options available in the Dallas-Ft. 1. Hello,

I am a writer for Thrive Magazine, currently working on a piece about teenagers and special needs. I am looking for sources for the piece to speak about what it is like to be a teenager with a disability, or parent a teenager with a disability. It would also be great to speak with experts, be it special education teachers, therapists, or counselors that could talk on this topic.

Please contact me at julia@juliagarstecki.com if this is a possibility!

    Thanks,

    Julia
