We LOVE Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Hawaiian Falls in Mansfield, Arlington swimming pools, Splash Factory in Grand Prairie. We live in Arlington and pass by Six Flags quite a bit. Our daughter begs us to take her there so season passes would be so awesome to win!

We enjoy the Summer Kids Movies at local theaters for $1.00 during the day. There are so many fun summer activities in and around DFW that it is hard to list them all.

Unplugging and learning is the mantra for our summers. We explore and play in places we don’t normally have a chance to visit and we LOVE to travel.

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is AWESOME! In our experience, there is always something different for tweens to do in the Innovations Studio. We visit during the late aftenoons and usually have the place to ourselves for the most part. We’ve seen real mummies in tombs, solved homicide cases using clues, made stop motion animation movies and explored different cultures. We’ve seen IMAX movies, learned about famous people in history, built eight foot tall towers using plastic stacking cups or KEVA planks and experimented with all sorts of ingredients. Usually there is some type of take-home study item to reinforce learning; but, it’s normally something so fun that your kids might not see it as such.
