On my walk this morning as I passed the ponds, a bird caught my eye. I knew it was a heron of some kind but didn’t look familiar. I came home and got out our well-used copy of The Sibley Guide to Birds (best bird book ever, add it to your Christmas list!) and discovered that it was in immature green heron.

We love Hawaiian Falls, they offer great family-fun and a very family-focused environment. This is a great water park for families with younger children.

The inside of a woman’s handbag often tells a lot about her. Does she have kids, is she into fashion, and of course, is she organized? Just think about the impression you might make at a job interview with a cluttered purse. A disorganized purse might mean a chaotic personal and professional life too… not great for landing the job.

Tomorrow is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the kids are staying home from school. They’ve already had two weekend days of t.v., computer and Wii or Xbox. Maybe a couple of outings, but it was yucky weather. I know we stayed inside except for a run to the grocery store and a few other errands. I have to work tomorrow and don’t want my kids glued to a screen all day. So I started poking around for some fun crafts to do with what I have at home. Kaboose always has great ideas. I loved these two videos, one using paper plates and the other using a cereal box. Have fun with your kids today!
