Dallas Childrens Theater - Flat Stanley

Enjoy an “Around the World” Adventure with Flat Stanley at Dallas Children’s Theater

In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley – the ultimate exchange student – scours the globe to do something the world has never seen before, and learns that heroes come in all shapes and sizes.  Everyone’s two-dimensional friend has a new life at Dallas Children’s Theater in The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley playing through June 2, 2013.

Stanley Lambchop is just like everyone else, but one night he makes a wish to be something special…and it comes true!  Jeff Brown’s beloved children’s book, “Flat Stanley,” was written in 1964 and has become a literary and pop cultural phenomenon.

Stanley is your ordinary, every day, run-of-the-mill ten-year old, and for Stanley, life is too normal.  He wants to do something amazing, something no one’s ever seen before, so he makes a wish to travel the world.  That night, the bulletin board on the wall above Stanley’s bed comes loose and falls – right on top of him.  The next morning, Stanley Lambchop wakes up flat.  Not just a little flat…really, really flat!  Thus begins a quest to see the world, which comes surprisingly easy when you can travel through the postal system as a letter! He thwarts a robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris and surfs off the coast of Hawaii.  He’s stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood to France to Honolulu and beyond.  Once Stanley realizes that great adventures aren’t as special without his family there to share it with him, he wishes to become a three-dimensional boy once again.

Careful what you wish for, Stanley!  Enjoyed by ages 5 and above.
