Submitted by on May 10, 2012 – 2:45 pm13 Comments

Sci-Tech Discovery Center has a swashbuckling summer of science planned

Sci-Tech offers week long discovery camps that are either half day (10:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-3:00pm) or full-day (10:00am-3:00pm with free lunch supervision from 12:00pm-1:00pm). Camps begin June 11th and run through August 13th, and are open to students who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade. Here’s a detailed camp schedule.

Each week has a different theme such as Ninja Science, Candy Factory, Star Wars Science, Creature Feature, Splash and more! Camps are $90 for members and $100 for non-members with extended childcare available for an additional fee. Registration includes admission to the museum, loads of fun hands-on activities and a camp T-shirt.

If your child loves hands-on science fun, Sci-Tech Discovery Center’s summer camps are just the thing!

“Only valid, confirmed NEW subscriptions are eligible for consideration as an entry to this contest.”

So those of us loyal readers are not eligible? That’s no fun! I guess maybe I should unsubscribe, then rejoin for the next contest so maybe I would be eligible?

      Hi Nancy,

Sorry for the confusion. The “New Subscriber” part pertains to the referrals portion of the contest, i.e., when you refer someone, it should be someone who isn’t already an NTK subscriber. The phrase was just in the wrong place and I have moved it to where it belongs so hopefully it makes better sense. To make it clear, ALL NTK readers are eligible to enter any of the giveaways we offer. πŸ™‚

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I really would like my son to go to this summer camp because I cannot afford to pay for it. thank you and God bless you all!

I have liked ntk and sci-fi discovery on facebook. I have referred 3 people that hopefully will put me down.

My 8yr would love to get to go to camp at Sci- Tech discovery because he is a science junky. He loves when we go to sci-tech (which we go often), he is always doing science experiments when we are home on the weekend, and we honestly can’t afford to send him.

It would be so nice to surprise him with a science camp on the last day of school!

We have completed steps 1 and 2 to enter my daughter for a chance to win a spot to attend Sci-Tech Discovery Camp. We homeschool and she is completing 1st grade this year, although most of her curriculum is 2nd-4th grade level. Science is her favorite subject so we do as many laboratory experiments as we can. She would love to have the opportunity to expand on this during the summer in a camp program like this. Thank you.

My son loves to build and try new things so this camp is perfect:)

  • Susan CdB says:

I have completed the two steps. I referred my friend Katie who said she signed up earlier today.

My daughter adores Sci-Tech! We were a member for the last year, but haven’t been back yet to renew (we hope to go back soon). Whenever we have gone, she’s enjoyed the staff/volunteers who have showed her various experiments (including dissecting a cow’s eye!) and I know she’d be so engaged while attending camp. I am planning to register her for a one week camp, but would love to be able to send her to a second week of camp if we win. She hasn’t been able to decide which of four options she most wants to attend. I know we’re running out of time as the camps filled up quickly last year. Thank you for the opportunity!

I completed steps one and two and sent out some invitations to Facebook friends to enter too! My son would LOVE the Star Wars camp.
