Plano International Festival - GirlChildren’s Global Village and Health Fair

New this year is the Children’s Global Village and Health Fair, with fun, educational activities to promote a healthy lifestyle. Kids and families can participate in free health screenings, obtain health information from local organizations, and get moving with sports and activities. The Global Village will feature hands-on craft projects along with a Passport activity that encourages kids to visit different booths and learn about the cultures represented.

Zero Waste Event

The Plano International Festival is a Zero Waste event and was awarded  the 2008 and 2010 City of Plano Environmental Star of Excellence Award and recognized as a Green Source DFW Environmental Leadership Awards Finalist. Last year’s Festival diverted 82% of waste from landfill! Nearly three-quarters of all waste generated was recycled or composted, thanks to nearly 70 volunteer Green Ambassadors who helped attendees sort their trash.

Admission and parking are free.  Visit www.planointernationalfestival.org to learn more.
