Richardson Mayor's Summer Intern Program - North Texas Kids

The Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program (RMSIP) is a an eight-week, paid summer high school internship program that introduces students to careers and employment opportunities in industries and companies where they have expressed interest. The RMSIP seeks to provide various job opportunities in small and large companies, nonprofits and governmental agencies.

To qualify for the program, students must be at least 16 years of age, a junior living in the City of Richardson or a Richardson ISD student. Students must also have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA, receive a letter of recommendation from their campus leadership, complete a minimum of 8 hours of workforce readiness training and be able to work in the United States.

Key Program Dates:

Internship Dates: June 18 – August 10
Student Application Acceptance Period: February 21 – March 27
