Easter Basket Ideas Other Than Candy

Easter Basket Ideas Other Than Candy

Candy and chocolate are the most popular Easter basket fillers. If you’re looking for something other than candy  to fill your child’s Easter basket, here are a few ideas to think about.

Healthy Snacks

Fill plastic eggs, Easter themed containers or use a bag tied with ribbon with healthy snack foods like dried fruit, nuts, trail mix, mini granola bars and fruit roll ups. Annie’s has a nice variety of organic bunny shaped snacks that kids love too.

Toys & Games

Small toys are a great addition to any Easter basket. These can include things like small party favors, costume jewelry, bubbles, travel puzzles, jump ropes, jacks & balls or even stuffed animals. Check out your neighborhood dollar store to see what they have in stock.  Easter treats can be educational too. You could add activity books, puzzle books or a favorite book your child might enjoy reading.

Craft Items

If your child enjoys crafts, you could consider scrapbooking supplies, beading kits, crayons or markers, coloring books, water paints, stickers & sticker books, play dough or modeling clay or gel pens.

Spa Items

Depending on the age of your child, she may enjoy bubble bath, body lotion, shower gel and other spa items. If your daughter is old enough, you could add nail polish, lip gloss and other make up items.

You don’t have to forgo candy and chocolate altogether, but at least you can add find other things to make your child’s Easter basket extra special!
