Lazy Woman Bread: Easy Bread Recipe
Guest post from KidsActivitiesBlog.com
Our friends at KidsActivitiesBlog.com have come up with a recipe for bread that’s not only easy, but allows you to make fresh bread throughout the week without a whole lot of hassle or extra work!
This is a time saver for those of you who are bread snobs and want your bread fresh out of the oven but don’t have the time or energy to mix, rise, punch, rise, bake, etc. on a daily basis.
You will need a 10qt/2.5 gal food safe container to keep your dough in (you can half the recipe and use a smaller container).
Here are the ingredients (mix with dough hook in order listed):
– 6 cups warm water
– 1/2 c oil
– 2 T olive oil
– 1/4 c sugar
– 1/4c yeast
– 1/4 c powdered milk
– 6-8c white flour
– 4-6c fun grains (rye, potato flakes, oatmeal, flaxseed, red wheat, graham, whatever)
– 1 T salt
Directions
Mix well, it will be a bit wet looking for a bread dough. Dump into a 10q food safe tub. Let it sit on the counter for an hour or two until it rises nearly to the lid. Then refrigerate. Take dough out as needed to bake – it will keep for over a week.
