KidFilm Family Film Festival

KidFilm Family Film Festival - North Texas Kids Magazine

The USA Film Festival/Dallas will present KidFilm, the oldest and largest family film festival in the United States, on January 20 & 21, 2018 at the Angelika Film Center, 5321 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas.  All programs are FREE to the community.

This year’s featured programs will include:

  • A Tribute to children’s book author/illustrator Barney Saltzberg (in person) with a screening  of Crazy Hair Day adapted from his popular book, a sing-a-long (with the song of the same name which he also wrote), and readings from his new books.  Free copies of Mr. Saltzberg’s books will be distributed to families, and he will sign copies following the program.
  • Children’s book author Ame Dyckman will be in attendance to present a screening of the film adapted from her book Wolfie the Bunny.  Ms. Dyckman will read from her new book “Read the Book, Lemmings!”  Free books will be distributed to families, and Ms. Dyckman will sign copies following the program.
  • Children’s book author Jacqueline K. Ogburn will be in attendance to present a screening of two films adapted from her books Scarlett-Angelina and The Bake Shop Ghost.  Free books will be distributed, and Ms. Ogburn will sign copies following the screening.
  • Screenings of new live-action and animated films.
  • KidFilmClassics screenings of modern and historical classics on the BIG SCREEN.

Ticket Information

Tickets are Free for all ages and are available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning one hour before each showtime.

A full schedule of KidFilm programs will be available and posted to the USA Film Festival website in early January.  www.usafilmfestival.com
