Real guitars, real drums, real fun! Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty – of the Emmy-winning Disney Channel TV series “Imagination Movers” – bring their 2012 Rock-o-Matic Tour to Grapevine, Texas!

The Imagination Movers began in 2003 as a rock band for kids in New Orleans and have grown into the stars of a hit television series seen in over 55 countries on the Disney Channel. They were the highest-rated and most popular live family act of 2011.  Their reputation of onstage silliness truly engages the littlest of kids along with their older siblings, parents, and grandparents. They combine danceable power pop songs with extremely catchy choruses to inspire audience participation.

On their hit TV show, the Imagination Movers star as four friends who work together in the Idea Warehouse to solve problems through creativity and teamwork. Their friends Nina and Warehouse Mouse are there to help along the way as the Movers brainstorm ideas and explore the Warehouse’s many magical rooms. Each episode features two or more original Movers songs.

Register for Fun Run to Fight Against Childhood Cancer

Join the fight against childhood cancer by running or walking in the 27th annual WOKC Oktoberfest Run for the Children 5K/1M on Saturday, September 22, 2012. This family-friendly event is presented by Tom Thumb and is part of the annual Addison Oktoberfest celebration.  All proceeds benefit Wipe Out Kids Cancer (WOKC), a Dallas-based nonprofit organization founded in 1980 dedicated to raising awareness and funding for pediatric cancer research and to providing hope and support to children with cancer. Online registration is available through midnight, Thursday, September 20. Race Day registration will be available from 7:00 – 8:00 am the morning of the event in the pavilion at Addison Circle Park.

Legendary actor and best-selling author Rob Lowe will be the featured speaker at the 13th annual Baylor Health Care System Foundation Celebrating Women luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 11:45 am at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.

The event, presented for the eighth consecutive year by Tom Thumb, has raised more than $18 million to fight breast cancer throughout Baylor Health Care System. In the past 12 years, donations to Celebrating Women have supported expanded technology, community outreach, innovative clinical research, education and programmatic needs for the men and women fighting this disease.
