I recently moved to Santa Barbara, CA and am enjoying the bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables. This past weekend, my son and I had the opportunity to go pick apricots. Super fun and picked way too many as they were falling off the trees into our bucket. We decided to make a gluten free apricot crumble with them. It was so good, I think we will make another one on July 4th (yes, we picked a lot of apricots.)

I love Memorial Day and for many years we hosted a pool party and barbecue at our home. The pool is just getting warm enough, it’s not too terribly hot out yet and everyone is ready for the beginning of summer!
It’s fun to do a potluck menu. We always do the barbecue and ask everyone to bring one of the other dishes to share.
I found this recipe for Ginger Chicken Noodle Bowls in a copy of Coastal Living magazine recently and adapted it to be gluten free. I love how simple and fast it is. They suggest using pre-cut or pre-sliced vegetables to make keep your prep time short but I love to chop veggies! So I used my own and it only added a few minutes to the total prep time plus you can use whatever you have on hand.
Here is a quick, easy and cute treat for a special snack day at school or a nautical theme birthday party. My daughter was studying ocean and water this week. I made blue jello in a cup for the ocean water and topped it off with a mandarin orange sailboat.
