Let the Fun Begin at the 4th Annual North Texas Kids Family Expo!
Free Family Event Benefits Sci-Tech Discovery Center
You’ve been hearing a lot about our upcoming Family Expo recently. Just in case you’re not sure what to expect, here’s a bit of NTK Family Expo 101!
The North Texas Kids Family Expo is a FREE all day event (10am-4pm) that we put together twice a year specifically for families.
This year’s Family Expo is on Saturday, November 5th at the Plano Centre and will feature exciting LIVE performances from Zoe the Clown, White Tiger Martial Arts, Theatre Britain, Tuzer Ballet , Centre for Dance, North Texas Longhorn Dancers and Lone Star Circus. We’ll also have a fabulous fashion show from Ms. Mona.
Especially for your children, we have planned arts and crafts, face painting, balloon making artists, Lego car races, real snow so they can build a snowman in the courtyard (yes, real snow!), coloring contests, bounce houses and so much more!!
Children will also enjoy science experiments that our non-profit Family Expo partner, Sci-Tech Discovery Center, will be showcasing on stage–How cool is that? Sci-Tech Discovery’s Molecule Man will do experiments with liquid nitrogen and centripetal force, and show us how to make ‘Dragons’ Breath’–definitely something to look forward to! Also courtesy of Sci-Tech Discovery Center, we’ll learn about mixing polymer snow, fall leaf chromatography and experimenting with pumpkins!
Parents and grandparents, we haven’t forgotten about you! You’ll get to meet and visit with about a 100 family friendly area businesses throughout the day because we have brought them all under one roof for you! Stop by their booths to get helpful info–you might even get a little promotional giveaway now and then!
That’s not all! You can get started on your holiday shopping early with popular and trendy businesses such as Georgia Grace Designs, Stella & Dot jewelry, Papparazzi Accessories, Scentsy, Annie Poodle Skirts, Chick Charms–to name just a few!
Our Family Expo vendor list is extensive and also includes sports centers, birthday party providers, health services, performing art centers, area pre-schools and other child care providers–the list just goes on!
We can’t forget to mention our fabulous photo contest for kids and families. Read all about the details and session times in our October 10th e-newsletter. The theme for this photo contest is Fall Festive Fun so bring your creativity and have your photo taken on site by AlleeOops Photography.
Of course, our NTK Family Expo 101 wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t mention the great SWAG that you’ll get for attending our Family Expo!! We will be handing out great cloth tote bags to the first 2,000 people! Each of these will include a $5.00 off for tickets to Disney on Ice! Be sure to get there early to get your discount coupon!
