Plano Symphony Orchestra is partnering with SMU Plano to offer four new music summer camps as part of SMU Plano’s summer youth programs. Each summer camp is a week long camp and meets for three hours. The workshops are taught by veteran PSO orchestra members Jeffrey Keene and Jennifer Wheeler.
A beautiful young Princess Mermaid, Ariel, longs for a life on land with her beloved Prince Eric. The evil Octopus, Ursula, is only to willing to help her, but the cost may prove to be too great for Ariel and the underwater kingdom. Directed by PCT’s Cassidy Crown, The Little Mermaid Jr is playing at the Plano Children’s Theatre from July 27th through August 4th.

As we walked in to the lobby of the Dallas Children’s Theater for opening night of Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters, we saw a crowd gathered around a group of men playing a variety of African drums and a couple of ladies energetically dancing to the primal sounding drum beats. Right away, we knew this was going to be a special night at DCT!
