Who doesn’t love summer? It’s a time of family gatherings and picnics, yearly vacations and lounging in the shade on hot afternoons. Those warm summer days are also a great time to help your kids develop an appreciation for nature and stretch their imaginations, too.

The U.S. Postal Service will soon release first-of-a-kind stamps with the look — and feel — of actual balls used in eight popular sports. Available nationwide June 14, the Have a Ball! Forever stamps depict balls used in baseball, basketball, football, golf, kickball, soccer, tennis and volleyball.

In Texas, UHCCF awarded more than 700 grants since 2013 and is encouraging more Texas families to apply this year. Qualifying families can receive up to $5,000 per grant with a lifetime maximum of $10,000 per child, to help pay for their child’s health care treatments, services or equipment not covered, or not fully covered, by their commercial health insurance plan.
